The Healthy Hack

Bathing is a way to relax by simply lathering up, cleaning your skin and in effect, lifts your burden for the whole day.

Organic elements are everywhere and you can include them in your bath to revitalize, renew and add glorious effect to your skin.

Oils

Add softness to your skin by incorporating oil in your bath water. It helps maintain the collagen in your skin and makes your skin look soft longer. It also prevents the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. Add a little of coconut oil or olive oil and experience the effect instantaneously.

Salts

Bath salts act as exfoliants that soften and smoothen the skin. It eradicates stress and relaxes your mind. A long dip in a bath salt-filled tub can make your sore muscles relax, moisturize and soft. It can also reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.

Milk

Milk is a great source of lactic acid and is rich in fats, proteins, and vitamins that help moisturize the skin and make the skin soft. Soak for about 15 minutes with a few cups of whole milk onto lukewarm bathwater.

Honey

This viscid fluid has a deep-clean effect like in the pores which also adds moisture to a dry skin. Mix in two cups of honey to a running bath water and dip for 15 minutes to achieve that silky smooth skin.

Herbs

These support reducing stress, smooth down the skin, improves sleep and relaxation. In a cheese cloth, collect dried herbs such as chamomile, mint, rosemary or lavender and put under running water; or boil them in a few cups of water and pour the extracts into the tub.

Essential Oils

Try aromatherapy using these oils to your baths. The fragrance you smell is actually helpful in both the mind and the body like distressing, skin problem, healthy hair and sore muscles. Mix your favorite essence to your bath and be revitalized.

Tea

It’s not only for drinking but you can use it in your bath. Steep 3-5 tea bags of strong herbal tea like peppermint, chamomile or green tea and dip in for about 20-30 minutes to detoxify the skin and rejuvenate the hair.

Ginger

Natural anti-bacterial components can be found in ginger which prevents colds, flues, and congestion. Adding this to your bath will make you warm and ease up your achy muscles and clear toxins from the body.

Oatmeal

Use a cup of oatmeal and mix with running water and soak for 10-15 minutes. It’s also a remedy for allergic reactions, dry and itchy skin or chickenpox.

Lemon

You have two options: ½ cup of lemon juice or 5-6 slices of fresh lemon; either way, it will brighten up your skin. Aside from their healing and mood-boosting benefits, it improves your skin, shrinks the pores and lightens the scar.

Baking Soda

Soak in a bath with baking soda at least 10-15 minutes. It’ll help greatly to get rid of dead skin cells without irritation. Plus, it’s economical, easy and safe relieving body pains and detoxification.

Apple Cide Vinegar

Consume Apple Cider Vinegar

When you have sunburn or soreness, dip to the bath water and put apple cider vinegar for about 5-10 minutes. It eliminates toxins from the body and makes your skin healthy.
